The Unites States boasts some of the best engineering undergraduate and graduate schools in the world, with their graduates being in demand all of the globe and securing some of the highest paid entry level jobs of any profession. Most of these schools are located on the East and West coast of United States, but a few can be found within Midwest and Southern United States as well.
The most famous and prestigious, of course, is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This school is the leader in all forms of technology and science in the entire world. The scientists working with MIT are the best in the fields working in the most technologically advanced labs and publishing in the most high end journals.
Stanford University, located in Stanford California and Berkeley are next in line. They boast some of the largest engineering facilities in the world and provide their graduate students with full funding and give them access to world class technology as well as opportunities to present their research world-wide.
Georgia Institute of Technology, located in the state of Georgia does not fall far behind these three, being the one of the top five engineering schools in the world.
